OBIT SOUTHERN, MARGARET RASH

SOUTHERN, Margaret Rash, 72, of Route 2, Box 110, Pulaski, died Sunday morning, January 17, 1993, in the Radford Community Hospital. She was born in Wythe County on April 8, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Clinton Rash and Minnie Lephew Rash. She was a member of the Community Christian Church, Newbern, and was a former Avon Representative with 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Harvey H. Southern. Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Morris of Annandale, Va., Linda G. Southern of Grundy, Joyce A. Southern of Newport News; two granddaughters, Stacey A. Reams of Harrisburg, Pa., Carrie E. Reams of Fredericksburg, Va.; three sisters, Myrtle Bell Dobbins of Pulaski, Virginia Thomas of Pulaski, Blanche Marshall of Annandale; and two brothers, Robert Rash of Salem, George L. Rash of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Community Christian Church, Newbern, with Minister Mike Whitaker and Minister Eddie Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Newbern Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
