BYRD KNOCKS OFF NORTH CROSS BOYS
Swingman Scott Kelley came off the bench to score 22 points, including eight in a fourth-quarter run that led William Byrd past North Cross 89-75 in a non-district boys' basketball game Wednesday night.The Terriers (7-3) led 55-50 at the end of the third quarter before outscoring the Raiders 34-25. Donald Childress had 15 of his 22 points for Byrd in the fourth quarter. David Robertson added 14 points.
Marcus Cardwell led North Cross with 32 points and Mike Bryan added 22.
A total of 86 free throws were taken. Byrd was 31-of-48; North Cross was 25-of-38.
