OBIT BARDEN, E.
BARDEN, Edna McDavid, 57, of Cloverdale, died Wednesday, January 20, 1993. She attended St. Marks United Methodist Church, was a retired teacher of Roanoke County Schools and held a master's science degree from Radford University. She is survived by her husband, Bryant N. Barden; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Shifflet and Mrs. Susie Clatterbuck, both of Charlottesville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McDavid of Gate City, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Aubrey C. Powell (Ardie) of Roanoke; one nephew, Stephen M. Powell of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one niece, Melissa C. Powell of Mount Pleasant, S.C. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 3 p.m. Friday, January 22 with the Rev. Gene M. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
