WRIGHT, Rose W., 89, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, January 19, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Selmer J. Wright and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Marie W. and George B. Poindexter of Roanoke, Doris W. and Hugh W. McMullen of Waco, Texas; three grandchildren, Jay Poindexter, Gary Poindexter and Richard Charlton; three great-grandchildren, Laci, Kelly, and Clay Charlton; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Kelly Dampeer will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. It is suggested that memorials be made to the Roanoke City Rescue Mission.
