OBIT RICKMAN, J.

RICKMAN, James Andrew, 77, of Atkins, died Tuesday night, January 19, 1993, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary Havens Rickman; one stepdaughter, Kelly L. Dunson of Sumter, S.C.; one sister, Olive Collins of Chilhowie; two grandchildren also survive; two special friends, Tommy Long, Sumter, S.C., Ashley Wain, Atkins. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Ridgedale Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Whitner officiating. V.F.W. Post 4667 will have military rites at the grave. The family will receive friends Thursday night at Barnett's Marion Funeral Chapel.
