WOMAN ROBBED OF PURSE IN NRCC'S PARKING LOT
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is searching for a person who robbed a woman of her purse Tuesday night at New River Community College.Capt. Donnie Simpkins said that at about 9:40 p.m., a 48-year-old woman was walking to her car in the college parking lot when she saw a person wearing a green jacket with a hood.
The person walked past the woman and grabbed her purse, Simpkins said. There was a brief struggle and the assailant ran away with the purse. The woman chased the robber for a while, then reported the incident.
Taken in the robbery was a burgundy Aigner purse containing about $200, a checkbook, wallet and other items.
The woman described her assailant as about 5-foot-8 and medium build, most likely a male.
The sheriff's office has no suspect at this time, but requests that anyone with any information call the sheriff's office's Crime Line at 980-7810.
