FREE CLINIC PLANS ANNUAL ART AUCTION

The Free Clinic of the New River Valley has scheduled its major fund-raising event, the annual Art Auction for March 27 at the Blacksburg Holiday Inn.

More than 100 area artists will donate paintings, sculpture, photography, pottery, fabric art and other works.

Proceeds will buy medicines and offer health-support services for New River Valley residents who can't afford health care. The Free Clinic recorded more than 1,300 patient visits last year.

Viewing and a silent auction begin at 6 p.m. Bidding begins at 7:30. Admission is $6 per person, or $10 per couple. For more information, call 382-6186.
