ONE MORE STEP TO TOTAL DISARMAMENT

THE ONE-GUN-a-month bill that Gov. Wilder has proposed shows that Big Brother is alive and well. I believe the government is slowly trying to disarm its citizens.

First, an instant check on short handguns was passed. Next, the same check included all guns. Now, Gov. Wilder wants to limit the number of guns a citizen can purchase. Such a law only regulates honest persons.

The only way to control crime is to start making people responsible for their actions. Let's punish the criminal severely and quickly. I'm willing to pay higher taxes if the money is designated to build more prisons and get the criminal element off the street. RONALD D. LANKFORD MEADOWS OF DAN
