Susan Marie Emery and John Davis Jefcoat are engaged and planning to be married in September, 1993. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Jackson Emery of Towson, Md. She was graduated from Friends School, Baltimore, Md. and Roanoke College, Salem, Va. She is employed by Carilion Health System. He is a son of Catherine D. Jefcoat of Salem, Va. and the late Benton B. Jefcoat. He was graduated from Salem High School, Salem, Va. and Roanoke College, Salem, Va. He is employed by Russ Berrie Company.
