Miss Karin Kristin Harkness and Mr. James Newton Frank were united inmarriage at six p.m. on Saturday, the thirtieth of January, at SecondPresbyterian Church. The candlelightceremony was performed by theReverend William Rupert Klein. Thereception was held at Roanoke Country Club.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Willard Harkness of Roanoke. She was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Mr. Frank is the son of Mrs. James Agnew of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Newton J. Frank of Oakton, Virginia.
Miss Courtney Ann Harkness served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Angela Dawn McLawhon ofDurham, North Carolina; Erin Elizabeth O'Connor of Severna Park, Maryland; and Jennifer Lauher of Fredrick, Maryland.
Mr. Randall Allen Murley of Chantilly, Virginia, was best man. The ushers were James Ritchie Davis of Concord, North Carolina; Michael Shayne Ruffing ofDurham, North Carolina; John Claude Campbell of Austin, Texas; and Joseph William Marks, Jr., the groom's cousin of Columbus, Ohio.
Mrs. Frank graduated from Patrick Henry High School and Elon College. She is employed by The Limited.
The groom graduated from James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia and Elon College. He is self-employed.
After a wedding trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, the couple will live in Oakton, Virginia.
