HARRIS ANNIVERSARY
Earl and Louise Harris celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on January 1, 1993. The celebration was held at Mineral Spring Baptist Church and was hosted by their children. They were married January 1, 1953 in Bedford County, and have live in Stewartsville for 26 years. She's the former Louise Powers. They have one daughter, Mrs. Sharon H. Peters of Vinton; one son, Rev. Bobby Harris of Vinton; and three grandchildren. He is employed as a supervisor by Chesapeake Corporation for 29 years. She is employed as a private duty nurse. The celebration included the renewing of the couples marriage vows, performed by Dr. J. Kenneth Peters of Winston-Salem, N.C., and the Rev. Chip Corbin, pastor of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Vinton, where they are active members.
