OBIT DEWITT, ROSCOE W.

DEWITT, Roscoe W., 77, of Copper Hill, died Saturday, February 6, 1993, at a Roanoke hospital. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Maude Musick DeWitt, Copper Hill; two sons, Rodney K. DeWitt of Bent Mountain, Phillip Ward DeWitt of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, and four sisters, Muriel Murray of Check, Daisy Thomas of Floyd, Kate DeWitt and Dare Wyrick, both of Copper Hill. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home in Floyd with the Rev. Frank Wimmer officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. After the service, relatives and friends are invited to gather at the home of Rodney and Dana DeWitt of Bent Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bent Mountain Fire and Rescue Squad, C/O Frances Gearheart, 9219 Signer Rd., Copper Hill, Va. 24079.
