OBIT-MITCHELL, PAUL HAMPTON
MITCHELL, Paul Hampton, 81, of Rt. 4, Vinton, passed away Monday, February 8, 1993, at his residence. He was born March 25, 1911 in Bedford County, son of the late Samuel Thomas Mitchell and Annie Mae Howell Mitchell. He was a retired barber and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was also a member of Chamblissburg Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Faye Gardner Mitchell; one son and daughter-in-law, Edgar Maurice and Gaynell N. Mitchell, Lynchburg; one sister, Doris M. Davis, Roanoke; four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 1993, from the Chamblissburg Baptist Church. The Rev. George Law will officiate. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
