TOUR DUPONT BICYCLE RACE WILL TRAVEL THROUGH BLACKSBURG

For the first time, Blacksburg will be the host for the 140-mile ninth stage of the Tour DuPont bicycle race, set to begin at noon on May 14 on the mall of the Virginia Tech campus.

Stage nine will lead cyclists around Blacksburg and down the town's Main Street, then south to Beech Mountain, N.C., which is the final destination of stage nine.

The entire tour will encompass about 1,000 miles in 11 days.
