OBIT-BROWN, ELIZABETH TEMPLETON
BROWN, Elizabeth Templeton, 87, of Roanoke, died Thursday, February 11,
1993. She was the widow of Gordon T. Brown Sr., a member of Huntington Court
United Methodist Church and the Philatahea Sunday school class. She was a
graduate of Radford University, a member of Roanoke City Retired Teachers
Association and the Williamson Road Women's Club. She is survived by one
daughter and son-in-law, Frances P. and James Abbott, Berryville, Va.; stepson
and daughter-in-law, the Rev. G. Thomas Brown Jr. and wife, Ann, South Boston;
two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North
Chapel, 1 p.m. Saturday, February 13, with the Rev. Bradford L. Phillips
officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call
Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m Friday.
