OBIT-PATE, VIRGIE WHORLEY

PATE, Virgie Whorley, 82, of Boones Mill, died Wednesday, February 10, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Pate. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lillie P. and Elmer Embrey, Rockville, Md., Winnie P. Lambert, Ruby P. St.Clair, both of Boones Mill; sons and daughters-in-law, Wyatt L. and Dorothy Pate, Mechanicsville, Forrest E. and Charlotte Pate, Boones Mill, John R. and Mary Pate, Rocky Mount; sister, Allie Pate; half brothers, Alfred Whorley, David Whorley; half sisters, Mary Carter, Mae Kinsinger, Rena Howell, Bessie Ann Trulove; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon Saturday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel by the Rev. James H. Steele, with burial in the Pate Family Cemetery, Boones Mill. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
