OBIT BOWERS, JOE L.

BOWERS, Joe L., 76, of 5086 Sidney Church Road, Riner, died Saturday, February 13, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. A retired employee of St. Albans Hospital, he is survived by his wife, Bertha Bowers; a sister, Beulah Hardin, Hampton, Tenn.; three stepdaughters, Shirley Duncan, Riner, Dorothy Lawson, Joyce Linkous, both of Christiansburg; three stepsons, Charles Barnett, David Barnett, both of Christiansburg, Larry Barnett, Riner; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Mr. Briton Taylor with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Monday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
