NEW RIVER ART '93 SCHEDULED FOR MAY

The New River Art '93 show and reception will bring paintings and sculptures by artists within 100 miles of the valley to Virginia Tech this May.

The show will be held at the Perspective Gallery in Squires Student Center from May 16-June 26.

A receptions and awards presentation will be be held 2-4 p.m. May 16, the opening day of the show.

This year's awards will include a $500 purchase award with the work going to a public building. To nominate a building, call Carol Davis at 951-1700.

The juror for the show will be Julyen Norman. A painter, printmaker and performance artist, the Yorkshire-trained artist directs Richmond's 1708 E. Main St. Gallery.
