AT DOMINION BANK, DIGNITY - FOR SOME
WHAT DO the dates Oct. 31, 1989, and Feb. 4, 1993, have in common? The two most recent days Dominion Bankshares Corp. stock closed above $26 per share.Gee, that is an increase of 0.0 percent over 1,192 days. Boy, Warner Dalhouse really knows how to drive a hard bargain.
To the 850 to 1,200 employees left out in the cold: Rest easy in the knowledge that while we may not have $3 million and a paper title, we have the dignity that comes from knowing we did our best. This is something that Dalhouse has forever lost.
I think I prefer it this way. WILLIAM J. SHEPHERD ROANOKE
