STAMBACK, Clara Martin, 90, of Bedford, died Tuesday, February 16, 1993 at Oakwood Manor, Bedford. She was formerly of Lynchburg and was preceded in death by a son, George W. Martin. Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. and Marie Martin of Roanoke, Frank H. Martin of Montvale, Archie L. and Ursel Martin of Vinton, Nelson E. and Pat Martin of Forest; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred M. and Glenn Brown of Fayetteville, Texas, Janie S. and Wayne Montanye of Prince George, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie N. Wagner of Roanoke, Livvie N. Davis of Bassett; two brothers, James Nichols of North Carolina, Art Nichols of Franklin County; a special friend, Stephanie Witt. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Albert C. Stewart officiating. Entombment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Oakwood Manor Bedford Memorial Hospital. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
