NEW RIVER STRIKERS WIN SOCCER TOURNEY

The New River Strikers won the under-10 division of the recent Soccer Unlimited Indoor Tournament in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Strikers defeated the Jamestown Jammers 6-0 in the championship game. They finished with six wins in seven games.

Mason Cavell and Stuart Dowling led the scoring. The defense, led by Artie Keown, Daniel Koebel, Peter Randolph and goalkeeper Christian Duke, recorded three shutouts.
