OBIT FERRELL, ELIZABETH MAYO

FERRELL, Elizabeth Mayo, 73, of Thaxton, died Friday, February 19, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was a native of Washington, N.C.; and was preceded in death by her husband, Burl D. Ferrell; and was a member of the Thaxton Baptist Church. She was retired from Leggett Dept. Store, with 31 years service. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley F. and Michael J. Lymburner, Londonderry, N.H., Rebecca F. and Michael A. Robertson Sr., Bedford; two grandchildren, Amy M. Lymburner, David J. Lymburner; two stepgrandchildren, Michael A. Robertson Jr. and Travis R. Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 22, 1993, with the Rev. Dr. Michael DuVal and the Rev. Hunter Hale Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday.
