OBIT CROOKSHANK, JOY JUSTIN TILLER
CROOKSHANK, Joy Justin Tiller, died Thursday, February 18, 1993 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Crookshank was born at Stuart Circle Hospital in Richmond, Va. She attended the University of West Virginia at Morgantown. She was the widow of Gene T. Crookshank, a former high school teacher and coach, and a Federal probation officer. Mrs. Crookshank was an active bridge player, and was a Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League. Mrs. Crookshank was a former employee of Steve Wise Auction Company. She attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Abingdon, Va. She is survived by one daughter, Jenny Crookshank Talton of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, Gary Gene Crookshank of Emory, Va., Michael K. Crookshank of Colonial Heights, Va., Shawn Patrick Crookshank of Abingdon, Va.; five grandchildren, Joshua and Justin Talton of Raleigh, N.C., Tara, Shawna and Heather Crookshank of Emory, Va. A memorial service will be conducted at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Abingdon at 3 p.m. on February 21, 1993 followed by visitation with the family in the church's Parrish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 114 Court Street, Abingdon, Va. 24210.
