OBIT WHEELER, GLENN HARRISON JR.

WHEELER, Glenn Harrison Jr., 62, of Atkins, died Friday, February 19, 1993 in Smyth County Community Hospital. Mr. Wheeler was a farmer, a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church, honorary member of the Atkins Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Atkins Ruritan Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. June Kidd Wheeler, Atkins; one daughter, Pam W. Benzing, Blacksburg; one son, Glenn H. Wheeler III, Atkins. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 21, at 2 p.m. at Davis Memorial United Methodist Church in Atkins with Rev. Harry Howe officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atkins Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 381, Atkins, Va. 24311. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
