BOTETOURT SHERIFF RESTING AFTER SURGERY

Botetourt County Sheriff Reed Kelly is recuperating at home after having his gall bladder removed Sunday afternoon.

Kelly said he started feeling ill late Friday and early Saturday.

"I drove to the hospital," he said. "I didn't know what it was."

Doctors found stones and infection in the gall bladder and used laser surgery to remove it.

Kelly, 40, was released from Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Monday afternoon.
