OBIT BRYANT, FLORA LAWSON
BRYANT, Flora Lawson, 79, of Blacksburg, died Monday, February 22, 1993 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bryant was born in Montgomery County on May 15, 1913 to the late John and Laura Shephard Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Bryant. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Florence Snider, Blacksburg, Shirley and William B. Leichter, Covington; three sons and daughters-in-law, John L. and Joan Bryant, Christiansburg, William H. and Bonnie Bryant, Bassett, Douglas F. and Constance M. Bryant, Blacksburg; two sisters, Emily Roope, Christiansburg, Martha Davis, Pulaski; four brothers, Buster Lawson, Salem, Ben Lawson, Dublin, Jack Lawson, Maryland, Sam Lawson, New Orleans; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Community Church. The Rev. Jimmie Lee Price and the Rev. Layne Board will officiate. Interment will follow in the Zack Price-James R. Long Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home.
