OBIT BOWERS, JOHN LEWIS

BOWERS, John Lewis, of Amelia, formerly of Roanoke, died Monday, February 22, 1993. He was a long time member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Bowers; one son, John L. Bowers, Falls Church; a daughter and son-in-law, James and Rebecca Lambert, Falls Church; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marguerite Pillis, Roanoke; Clara and Davis Marshall, Charlottesville. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church with a private burial. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or a favorite charity. Arrangements by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, Clarksville.
