OBIT ALLEN, THOMAS EDISON, ("TOM"), 50
ALLEN, Thomas Edison, ("Tom"), 50, of Salem, died Thursday, February 25, 1993 in the Salem VA Medical Center. He was a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Furrow Allen; two daughters, Kimberly and Kristina Allen of the home; his parents, Edison and Sadie Allen of Blacksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Allen of Christiansburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bill Paschal of Kingsport, Tenn.; four nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 28 at 2 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with the Rev. Jimmy Jennings and the Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg. The family would like to express their most sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nursing staff and co-workers at the Salem VA Medical Center for the care and support Tom was given.
