FAREWELL RECEPTION PLANNED FOR TOTA
A farewell reception for retiring Roanoke School Superintendent Frank Tota will be held Monday from 3 to 5:30 p.m at the Roanoke Civic Center.
The event, open to the public, will take place in the civic center atrium. Students from several schools will perform musical tributes and make presentations to Tota.
Tota is leaving June 30 after 12 years as the school system's chief administrator and will take a job as superintendent in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
The reception will be followed with a dinner, by invitation only, at the Roanoke Airport Marriott. Proceeds from the $35-per-person dinner will be put into a college scholarship fund in Tota's name.
