OBIT-KEISTER, OLIVE BOWYER
KEISTER, Olive Bowyer, 90, of Roanoke, died Thursday, April 1, 1993, in a
local nursing home. She was the widow of Frank E. Keister and a member of
Belmont Baptist Church. She was retired from the American Viscose and was also
a former employee of the cafeteria department of the Roanoke City Schools.
Surviving are three sisters, Jewell B. Jennings of Roanoke, Mary B. Rector of
Newport News, Fleeta B. Cheek of Roanoke; one brother, M. Lee Bowyer of
Tucson, Ariz.; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be held at the graveside in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 11 a.m.
Saturday with Dr. Woodrow W. Clark officiating. There will be no visitation at
the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to
the American Diabetes Association or your favorite charity. Arrangements are
by Oakey's South Chapel.
