OBIT-WRIGHT, FRANKLIN A., ("BILL")

WRIGHT, Franklin A., ("Bill"), 70, of New Castle, died of ALS on Thursday, April 1, 1993. He was the son of the late Hezzie and Grace Wright and is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly H. Wright; a daughter, Billie Jean Benbow of Winston Salem, N.C.; one grandson, Michael Moore, Winston-Salem, N.C.; one brother, Ashby Wright, New Castle; five sisters, Inas Loan, New Castle, Dorothy Tingler, Kernersville, N.C., Emma Donahue, Roanoke, Geneva Abbott, Sumpter, S.C., Joyce Slaydon, Roanoke; three stepdaughters, Robin Clark, Cameron, W.Va., Tammy Bulman, Virginia Beach, Tonya Bulman, New Albany, Ind.; seven stepgrandchildren; and a host of friends. He was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church, a veteran of World War II, serving three years in the 691st Tank Destroyer Battalion and a proud member of the V.F.W. Funeral services will be held at New Castle Christian Church, Saturday, April 3, 2 p.m. with Dr. Ernie Johnson and Rev. Paul StClair officiating. Burial will be in Huffman Memorial Park. V.F.W. Post 4491 will conduct military graveside service. Friends may call at Boitnott Funeral Home, Friday, April 2, from 7 to 9 p.m.
