OBIT-SWEENEY, PALMER PETER
SWEENEY, Palmer Peter, 94, of Radford Street, Christiansburg, died
Thursday, April 1, 1993, in Radford Community Hospital. Born in Floyd County,
the son of the late John and Elizabeth Sweeney, he was preceded in death by
his wife, Louise Howery Sweeney. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary
Bishop, Mrs. Kenneth (Darlene) Lancaster, both of Christiansburg, Mrs.
Florence Tibbs, Mrs. Ernest (Dorothy) Sensabaugh, both of Roanoke; two sons,
Palmer P. Sweeney Jr., Christiansburg, John Lewis Sweeney, Virginia Beach,
Va.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11
a.m. Saturday, April 3, from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel
conducted by Rev. Peter DuPlessis, with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 7 until 9 Friday evening at the Richardson-Horne
Funeral Home.
