SCLC PLANS SERVICE FOR KING ANNIVERSARY

The Virginia State University unit of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King with a special service Sunday.

It will be at 7:30 p.m. in Union Baptist Church, 212 Terminal St. in Hopewell. Preaching will be the Rev. Milton A. Reid of Gideon Missionary Baptist Church of Chesapeake. Communion will be served. Call 804-458-4056 for more information.
