OBIT GROSECLOSE, OLEN MARVIN

GROSECLOSE, Olen Marvin, 74, of Chilhowie, died Tuesday, April 6, 1993, in the Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion. He was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Correction, with 25 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, European Theatre. He is survived by his wife, Mildred P. (Mickey) Groseclose; one brother, Elwood Groseclose, Ivanhoe, Va.; two sisters, Evelyn Pickett, Hazel Hudson, both of Ivanhoe, Va.; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mountain View Cemetery, Chilhowie with Rev. Eugene C. Little officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Williams Funeral Home, Chilhowie.
