TENN. BIRTHPLACE OF LATE SINGER TO BE DEDICATED
The birthplace of the late entertainer "Tennessee" Ernie Ford will be dedicated in his honor May 29 at a Bristol Historical Association ceremony.
The association recently completed restoring the house on Anderson Street with help from a local historian and preservation group. The house is headquarters for the association.
Earnest Jennings Ford was born Feb. 13, 1919. He was raised in Bristol and performed there at the grand opening of its Paramount Arts Center shortly before his death Oct. 19, 1991, in Reston.
