OBIT ALLISON, CORINNE VIRGINIA BRAUGHN SEXTON,
ALLISON, Corinne Virginia Braughn Sexton, 82, of Wytheville, died
Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at her residence. She was born in Wytheville, a
daughter of the late Joseph Garland and Corinne Frances Braughn Sexton. She
was active in the Stuart Chapter D.A.R. and the U.D.C., and was a member of
the Blue Ridge Women's Golf Association and the Southwest Virginia Horsemen's
Association. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; and was preceded
in death by her husband, Thomas Barclay Allison Sr. She is survived by four
daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Warren Mallory of Manassas, Corinne
Allison of Alexandria, Judy and Bobby Walters and Frances and Frank Emerson,
all of Wytheville; one son, Thomas Barclay Allison Jr., Wytheville; six
grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs.
Emma Alderson, Salem. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 9,
1993, at Barnett Funeral Chapel with Father James Grealish and the Rev. Dr.
Thomas Sproule officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Barnett Funeral Home in
Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
