SUBSTITUTE JUDGESHIP GOES TO RASNIC

Lawyer James E. Rasnic is the new General District substitute judge for Lee, Wise and Scott counties and the city of Norton.

He was appointed by Circuit Judge William C. Fugate to fill the vacancy left by George F. Cridlin, who is seeking the Democratic candidacy for the House of Delegates.

Cridlin and Republican Terry Kilgore, who is seeking the candidacy of his party, want to succeed Del. Ford Quillen, D-Gate City, who is not seeking re-election.
