OBIT HUBBARD, SAMUEL ROY JR.
HUBBARD, Samuel Roy Jr. 73, of Roanoke, died Thursday, April 8, 1993. He was a member of Roanoke Moose Lodge #284, was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of Woodson Pontiac. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Georgie Hubbard; one son, Michael L. Hubbard and wife, Clara, Floyd; grandson, Michael L. Hubbard Jr., Floyd; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Peggy Hubbard, Roanoke; three nephews and wives, Larry and Susan Hubbard, Roanoke, John and Freida Hubbard, Roanoke, Richard and Teresa Hubbard, Ferrum; a long time friend and companion, Pauline Reed. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside Sherwood Memorial Park 1 p.m. Monday, April 12. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
