Sandra Ellen Mason and Thomas Exter Smith were united as one in Christ on April 10, 1993, at Northside Christian Church. The candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. Glenn Tabor. The reception was held at the Williamson Road Lodge. Matron of honor was Shirley Smith, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lorrie Smith, sister-in-law of the bride, Bobbie Jo Smith, niece of the bride, and Stephanie Hagy, niece of the groom. Flowergirl was Sarah Davis, niece of the groom. The best man was Tim Smith, brother of the groom. Ushers were Philip Cook, cousin of the groom, David Blankenship, best friend of the groom, and Chad Hagy, nephew of the groom. Ringbearer was D. J. Smith, nephew of the bride. Soloist was Joani Tabor. Guestbook was attended by Missy Stultz, friend of the bride. Pictures were taken by King Photography. The bride is the daughter of Judy C. Smith of Roanoke and the late Marion R. Smith. She is employed by Valcom, Inc. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garney Smith of Grundy, Virginia. He is a 1982 graduate of Grundy Senior High School and a 1988 graduate of East Tennessee State. He is an Electronic Technician for Valcom, Inc. The couple will make their home in Roanoke, Va., after a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains.
