SHOGREN FIRST IN ROWDY DAWG BIKE RACE

Gunner Shogren cycled his way to victory Sunday in the sixth annual Rowdy Dawg Mountain Bike Race in the Brush Mountain/Poverty Creek section near Blacksburg. It is the second leg of the inaugural Virginia championship series.

Shogren, riding for Pro/Elite Team Diamond Back, covered the 21-mile course in 1 hour, 24 minutes, 10 seconds.
