ROANOKE BOWLER ROLLS 2ND 300

John Clendenin of Roanoke celebrated his Easter holiday with a 300 game at Hill Top Lanes on Sunday afternoon.

It was the second perfect game for Clendenin, 24, who had his other one last June. The right-hander said it wasn't as solid as his first, however.

"It was very exciting," said Clendenin, who works at Hill Top and was competing Sunday for the Bullwinkles in the Afternooners League. "I got a few breaks, hitting real light in the pocket. But all three balls in the 10th frame were solid pocket hits."

Clendenin bowls in three leagues and carries a 205 average. - Staff report
