OBIT WHITLOCK, RUBY HODGES
WHITLOCK, Ruby Hodges, 58, of Salem, died Tuesday, April 13, 1993, in her home. She was a native of Roanoke, and had been employed at the Tultex Corporation, where she worked in the shipping department. She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Fred W. Whitlock; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Whitlock, and one daughter, Carolyn Dooley, one grandson, B. J. Dooley, her mother, Willa Belle Hodges, all of Salem; four sisters, Betty Hall of Roanoke, Joan Thomas, Margaret Huffman and Linda Shepherd, all of Salem. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Sherwood Memorial Park by the Rev. Nelson Harris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7 until 9. The family suggests contributions to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 4325 Colonial Ave. S.W., Roanoke, Va. Arrangements by John M. & Oakey & Son, Salem.
