OBIT-COOPER, ERNEST HELLM
COOPER, Ernest Hellm, 80, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, April 15, 1993,
at his residence. He was retired from American Bridge after 25 years service,
and Roanoke County Schools. He was a member of Mayflower Hills Baptist Church
for 35 years, where he was a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife of
59 years, Daisy Belle Adkins Cooper. Survivors include two sons and
daughters-in law, Henry N. and Rebecca L. Cooper, Marvin L. and Irene Cooper,
both of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Jean and Winfred Ranson of
Vinton, Phyillis M. and Ray Hunter, Ernestine and Marvin Peters, Patricia and
Pete Harris, Nancy S. and Barry Draper, all of Roanoke; one brother, Rev.
Frank S. Cooper of Moneta; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a
special friend, Shirley Conner. Funeral will be held noon Saturday, April 17,
from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Don Dyer, Rev. Wesley Patterson and
Jeff York officiating. Interment in Cooper's Cove Cemetry. Friends may call
Lotz Vinton Chapel.
