ALIFF ANNIVERSARY
Robby and Milton Aliff celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 17, 1993. The celebration was held at La Maison hosted by their children. The couple were married April 21, 1943, at Benton, Arkansas. Mr. Aliff is a native of Roanoke and they have lived in Roanoke for 44 years. She is the former Robby Pratt. Their children are Hillery A. Callahan and Dianne A. Wingo, both of Roanoke, Va.; Michael L. Aliff, Suffolk, Va.; and Chris Aliff, Denver, N.C. They have 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mr. Aliff is retired from Evans Products. He is Past President of Retired Officers Assoc., Past National Commander and Finance Officer of the 29th Inf. Division Assoc., a life member of Post 1264 V.F.W., Reserve Officers Assoc., Disabled American Veterans Post 3, Military Order of World Wars and the 83rd Div. Assoc., charter member U.S. Committee Battle of Normandy Museum Caen, France. He is presently serving on the Department of Defense Committee of Employee Support of Guard and Reserve, Board of National "D" Day Memorial Foundation, and is treasurer of Post 64, 29th Inf. Division. Mrs. Aliff is retired from Roanoke City Schools.
