HUGHES, Arthur E., 92, of 25th Ave., New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died Sunday, April 18, 1993, at Ocean View Nursing Home, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He was born in Enfield, N.C. and moved from Salem to Florida in 1970. He was a retired Metallurgist and was an Episcopalian. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hughes on March 10, 1993. Surviving are a stepson, Thomas C. Thompson, Drayton Plains, Mich.; a niece, Jacqueline D. Ferrell, Richmond, Va.; a nephew, Scot C. Ferrell, Richmond, Va.; seven stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren. Arrangements by Baldwin-Hughey Funeral Home, One North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
