OBIT WEEKS, LEROY

WEEKS, LeRoy, ("Pete"), 61, of Vinton, died Monday, April 19, 1993, in a local hospital. He was born in Roanoke, September 8, 1931, a son of the late Elmer and Maude Weeks. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and was retired from Washington, D.C. District Government. Surviving are his wife, Iona Yvonne Weeks; three daughters, Cathy Ann Davis, Woodsbora, Md., Gale Sue Thompson, New Market, Teresa Kay Kirkhart, Fairfax; a foster child, Laura Michelle Meadows; six grandchildren, Karla and Nicholas Davis, Dana and Amanda Thompson, Joshua and Bradley Kirkhart; three brothers, William R. Weeks, Corbin L. Weeks, Delmar L. Weeks, all of the Roanoke area. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1993, with the Rev. Jeff Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
