OBIT-COFER, JACOB NATHANIEL SR.

COFER, Jacob Nathaniel Sr., 68, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 1993. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Rainbow Bakery. Survivors include his wife, Nannie C. Cofer; two sons, Jacob N. Cofer Jr., and Kenneth B. Cofer; four daughters, Mary Ann Cofer, Miriam Smith, Darlene and Charlene Cofer, all of Roanoke; two aunts, Della M. Woods, New York, Harriet Robinson, Roanoke; three nieces, Elizabeth Stovall, and Mattie Johnson, both of Roanoke, Charlene Walker, Camden, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Malverse Simpson will officiate with interment in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
