OBIT-PLOGGER, HOMER WALLACE
PLOGGER, Homer Wallace, 62, of Lexington died Wednesday, April 21, 1993, at
the VA Medical Center in Salem, Va. He was born in Rockbridge Co., Va. on
November 8, 1930. He was the son of the late Thomas Preston and Sarah
Hostetter Plogger. Mr. Plogger was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church,
the Lexington Moose Lodge #1700 and a lifetime member of the VFW #1499, and
was a retired technician carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived
by his wife, Evelyn K. Plogger, Lexington; a daughter, Sonia McFaddin,
Staunton; seven brothers, Humphries Plogger, Oscar Plogger, Richard Plogger,
Clarence Plogger, all of Lexington, Melvin Plogger, W.Va., Lawrence Plogger,
Goshen, Emmett Plogger, Spartansburg, N.C.; four sisters, Mabel Hartbarger,
Nervie Plogger, Pearl Lipscomb, all of Lexington, Ethel Henricks, Baltimore,
Md.; two grandchildren, LCPL Tony McFaddin Jr., USMC of Spain, and Autumn
McFaddin. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 24, 1993, at 11
a.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wyatt Mayes and Rev. Robert
Leonard officiating with burial to follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens,
Lexington. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 to 8 at the
Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
