SLOAN, Bessie Adeline, 79, of Rt. 3, Bassett, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 1993. Mrs. Sloan is survived by her husband, Thomas Burford Sloan; four sisters, Mrs. Lassie Gray, Mrs. Mary Dolan, Mrs. Claire Taskler, Mrs. Lucille Overstreet; two brothers, Andrew Hall, Harold Hall; special niece and nephew, Melissa Pearl and Bruce William DeGarmo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1993, at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in Cooper Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
