TECH ADMINISTRATOR IN VA. SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Vito Ragazzo, director of student life in Virginia Tech's athletic department, will be inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in Portsmouth on May 7.

Ragazzo led the nation in 1949 with 15 touchdown passes as a receiver at William and Mary, and his 29 career touchdown catches were an NCAA mark for almost 10 years.

He played professionally in Canada before entering coaching. At VMI, he was Virginia's coach of the year in 1967; at Shippensburg State in 1981, he was the National College Division II coach of the year.

Liberty's second men's basketball signee of the spring is 6-foot-9, 225-pound Jason Dixon from Aurora, Colo. Dixon averaged 12 points and seven rebounds this past season at Eastern Wyoming Junior College, which was 53-15 during his two seasons.
